  • Kelly Piersant

    Instructor

    Kelly Piersant was raised in the U.K. and Australia, but now calls the U.S. home. A self-described free spirit, she grew up riding horses and spending all her free time outdoors in nature. Kelly spent the early years of her career in the beauty industry, working as a professional make-up artist, where her creativity and passion for making people look and feel their best was perfectly suited. In 2013 Kelly was introduced to Pilates, and immediately began seeing changes in her body and mind, including postural corrections, muscle lengthening and flexibility. An incredible increase in body awareness and mental and physical strength ensued. Kelly lives a holistic life and feels that regular mindful exercise, in addition to good nutrition play an important role in how we feel physically and physiologically. Kelly received her Pilates certification through BASI where she had the good fortunate to train closely with master instructor Rael Isacowitz. She is excited to continue this journey, and looks forward to using Pilates to help others achieve their own personal goals.

  • Zandra Tamayo

    Instructor

    Zandra Tamayo has been involved in the dance world since childhood. She continued her love for dance by following an academic path at CSULB obtaining a B.A. in Dance, with an option in Dance Science. While at CSULB, Zandra discovered Pilates and fell in love with the training method universal for advanced athletes to recovering patients. While attending CSULB, Zandra worked on her BASI certification under Karen Clippinger and continued on to work in a Physical Therapy clinic setting refining her body alignment and injury accommodation knowledge. When Zandra is not sharing her knowledge and passion for Pilates she is dancing professionally for a NFL Cheer Team. Zandra looks forward to encouraging healthy lifestyles through Pilates and helping her clients reach their personal goals!

  • Martha Didlake

    Martha has been in the fitness industry for over 35 years. She has taught several formats including HIIT, Total Body Training, Les Mills BodyPump, TRX and Cycle classes. She is also a certified Personal Trainer with a Nutrition certificate and has trained individuals and small group trainings for 15 years. Over the last two years Martha has become passionate about the benefits of Pilates Reformer. She is proud to have completed her STOTTS Pilates Reformer certification and can’t wait to share her certification and years of knowledge with all of you. Originally from Connecticut, she moved to California in her 20’s with her love of living and promoting a healthy lifestyle. She loves spending time with her family and friends, cooking, running, hiking and surfing when it’s warm!!

    Tawnya has an endless curiosity of people and the body. Her love for fitness and healthy living has always been a way of life. Tawnya began taking Pilates in 2004. She was looking for a gentle yet effective approach to gain core strength, balance and longer, leaner more toned muscles, Pilates was it! Having convinced several friends to go with her to Pilates, some even going on to become instructors. Tawnya realized it was time to become an instructor herself. Tawnya earned her certification as a Pilates Instructor through Club Pilates, working under Master Trainer Vanessa Johnson Huffman. Tawnya is known for balancing her cheerful encouragement with butt-kicking workouts, all the while keeping it fun. On a daily basis Tawnya is inspired by the changes she see’s in front of her as she watches people build strength and make health a priority. She enjoys working with people, learning and continually pursuing to further her education in Pilates and overall health and wellness.

  • Carol Anderson

    Having always been active first as a swimmer in school and then in the military where she developed a love for running, Carol has strived for an active, healthy lifestyle. Through the encouragement of a friend in 2009 she tried Pilates for the first time and was hooked. She loved the way it fit in with her running workouts while strengthening the parts of her body that were weak. It also kept her strong and injury free out on the trails. As she learned more about pilates and the control and precision it required, she became even more obsessed with perfecting her form and loved the dramatic changes it was creating in her body and her flexibility. In 2017 after teaching Middle School for 16 years, she decided to use her experience in education to teach something she is really passionate about. She quit her job and spent a year completing her Club Pilates Teacher Training, focused on learning everything she could to be the best instructor she can be. She is excited to be able to share her love of pilates through teaching while encouraging others to continue to strive for an active, healthy lifestyle.

  • Monica Lodwig

    Monica began practicing Pilates over a decade ago; she immediately fell in love after seeing the difference Pilates made in her core strength, posture, overall health and fitness. Monica then decided that she wanted to share her passion with others and earned her Pilates teaching certification from Balanced Body University in 2010. Never satisfied, Monica continued her quest for excellence by getting TRX certified in 2011, “Spin” certified in 2012 and re-certified in 2016. Most recently, Monica has become an Instructor Trainer for Pilates Suspension Method working with creator Rebecca Beckler, traveling throughout the U.S. to share her PSM love with other instructors like herself. For the past nine years, Monica has been sharing her passion and expertise with her students while expanding her training programs to incorporate Pilates, Pilates Suspension Method, and Spin to produce excellent results for her students. It is Monica’s breadth of knowledge and training experience that allows her to offer a wide variety of effective and challenging workouts.

  • Lizabet Latvala

    Lizabet is a lifelong fitness enthusiast. She's worked in the fitness industry since the late nineties- as a personal trainer, a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) instructor, and a SUP yoga instructor. She's brought yoga classes to children in domestic violence shelters, led bicycle tours through New England, and taught senior fitness classes. She's trained and taught professional athletes, Olympians, adventure seekers, abused children, the de-conditioned, and senior citizens in their ninth decade of life, and she's loved every minute of it. She has a soft spot for those who are unfit or nervous about coming into a Pilates studio. Having lost nearly 100 lbs herself, she loves and lives the Club Pilates mantra- Pilates is for Every Body. When she's not teaching Pilates she enjoys surfing her longboard, beachcombing for shells, hiking, writing, taking classes at the local community college, and hanging out with her husband, thirteen year old son, and their rescue dog from Korea.

  • Cathryn Kruger

    Instructor

    Cathryn believes in allowing the body to be a vessel for health and expression. She feels mindful breath focused movement is an important ingredient to mental and physical wellbeing. Through Pilates she has discovered new strength in her body. This has enhanced Cathryn’s experience and capability in her two favorite hobbies: surfing and dancing. In addition to instructing Pilates, Cathryn is currently finishing her 850-hour Yoga Therapy certification and is a Dance/Movement Therapy masters candidate at Lesley University.

  • Jody Reis

    Instructor

    Jody’s passion for movement was ignited at a very young age when she began taking dance classes. As a teenager she was immersed in ballet and modern technique at Interlochen Arts Academy, an international performance arts school in Northern Michigan. She went on to dance professionally for over 10 years in New York City and cruse ships abroad. As a dancer she experienced some setbacks including chronic bursitis of the hip. She was introduced to Pilates to help with her injuries and immediately felt a strong connection with the method. In 2010 Jody completed her Pilates certification with Body Arts and Science International (BASI). She also holds a certification with Bootybarre. She believes our bodies and minds are powerful entities and when nourished and trained they can work wonders. She has a passion for helping people reach their full potential which has lead her to become a certified holistic nutritionist as well. On a daily basis, Jody is inspired by the changes she sees in front of her as she watched people build strength and make health a priority.

  • Joseph Quinn

    Joseph Quinn has been teaching Pilates since 2002 and is a 3rd generation teacher to Joseph Pilates, himself. He owned and operated Real People Pilates in Berkeley, California for 13 years. Joseph worked at his alma mater, UC Berkeley, for 7 seasons as a Pilates trainer for Cal football and other sports. As an athletic performance trainer he has worked with collegiate, professional, and Olympic athletes. As a writer he has contributed articles to Pilates Style Magazine, Pilates Pro, and Pilates Anytime. Joseph was selected by San Francisco Magazine as the "Best Pilates Teacher In Bay." For the past 5 years, Joseph founded and launched the technology platform Pilates Metrics, a digitally integrated network to connect the Pilates industry to the future of preventative healthcare. The United States Patent and Trademark Office awarded him a patent for technology while the company has been selected by Pfizer Healthcare, Google, and ScaleLA for start-up accelerators. After recently partnering with The Club Pilates Franchise Company in Irvine, Joseph moved to Orange County with his wife Karinne, and three kids Bernadette (5), Mabel (4), Hugo (2), and their Pomeranian, Chewbacca (8). Joseph loves getting back into the studio whenever possible to teach classes and, his favorite, private training sessions.   • Judy Wright

    Judy has been in the fitness industry for several decades with Pilates being her preferred method of exercise. She was part of the “no pain, no gain” mentality of the 1980s and unfortunately some of the things done at that time wreaked havoc on her body. She has had a hip replacement, torn rotator cuff, hernia, along with neck, back, knee and foot issues. Fortunately she discovered Pilates about 20 years ago and as a result is in better physical shape than at that time. She gives credit to the gentle yet effective Pilates technique for having spared her from back surgery. She is very passionate about teaching Pilates to others as she has experienced firsthand the benefit of how the precise, controlled movements have improved her physical health. Judy has been certified in Mat Pilates since 2000 and Reformer Pilates since 2006 through Precision Pilates, which is based on Body Arts and Science International (BASI), along with having mentored in the classical style of Peak Pilates. She has also been certified through AFAA as a group exercise instructor since 1993 and personal trainer since 1998, and Balance and Mobility Specialist through Cal State Fullerton since 2014. Other certifications include Senior Fitness and Exercises for Chronic Diseases and Disabilities, as well as Rehabilitative Exercise. Work experience includes Director of Fitness at a retirement community, owner of a personal training studio, Pilates for chiropractic and Physical Therapy patients, corporate fitness classes, along with training in various gyms and Pilates studios in California, Arizona and Pennsylvania. Judy has been an avid dancer for years and enjoys being in ministry, spending time with her grandchildren and helping others remain “Forever Young” in body, soul and spirit!

    Lisa also holds a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Management from the University of Pennsylvania. Her enthusiasm for fitness and helping others achieve their goals is what fueled her desire to keep expanding her fitness education over the past 15 years.     Brianne is a native southern California resident who, growing up, was active in the competitive sports arena and cultivated an esteemed value for fitness early on. She currently lives with her husband and 2 kids in Ladera Ranch, CA.  Brianne operated for many years as a Director of Operations in Construction Management and currently functions as The Director of Administration for Jennison International, a partnered corporation with her husband in Computer Hardware. To offset corporate stress and improve her mind body connection Brianne took up Pilates as her hobby eight years ago, and has been perfecting her craft ever since. After taking years of athletically based Pilates in the South Orange County area, she finally decided to turn her passion into her profession through fitness instruction.  It was then that she began her pursuit to certification through the Balance Body curriculum. In doing so she fulfilled everything she was looking for in her workouts (cardio, toning, flexibility, strength training and mind body connection). Brianne is currently offering Reformer, EXO chair and Mat Pilates, TRX Suspension, Barre Influenced Circuit and Spin Indoor Cycle. She combines these capacities to offer a fully modifiable entire body workout for every level of strength. Helping others is her true passion and she believes this can be done through meeting her clients where they are in life and strength by guiding them through their physical journey at their comfort level. Her goal is to change lives through fitness, movement, music, community, and physical well-being. In doing so, her classes create a space where others feel empowered and yet challenged. Where fear is overcome by courage and the trust built in her ability to guide her clients to a stronger healthier existence. She welcomes the capability to earn that trust and gently drive her clients safely out of their comfort zone where true progression happens. She hopes that you find that at Club Pilates we welcome all ages and demographics. That strength is built both mentally and physically and that we are all capable of attaining our goals through movement and motivation with the right encouragement and environment. When she’s not at the studio, Brianne loves traveling, country music, hiking and spending time with her family as possible.
